Cynthia is a Finance Principal at OpenView, where she works with the management teams across OpenView's portfolio to build best-in-class finance functions. She has nearly 20 years of financial management experience in the high-tech industry, where her focus was on high-growth situations and substantial corporate turnarounds, often resulting in successful liquidity events.
Most recently, Cynthia was Chief Financial Officer of the CodeGear division of Borland Software, where she spearheaded the implementation of a segregated divisional business model and infrastructure across the division's global operations, and drove the successful divestiture and sale of CodeGear to Embarcadero Technologies in 2008.
From 2003 to 2006, Cynthia was SVP, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary for Pharsight Corporation (a publicly-traded drug development software and consulting services provider) where she led the company to quarterly and annual profitability for the first time in its 10-year history. The company achieved eight consecutive quarters of net income and two consecutive fiscal years of 25%+ revenue growth during her tenure.

Before joining Rainmaker, Cynthia served as Interim Vice President of Finance at Calico Commerce (an e-commerce technology provider), where she played a key role in the sale of the company's assets to PeopleSoft. From 2000 to 2001, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Quiver, Inc. (an early stage company specializing in targeted online directories), where she helped to redefine the product and business strategy, and successfully raised $13 million in Series B funding. Between 1997 and 2000, Cynthia served in various executive positions, including Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance, for Infoseek Corporation, an Internet portal, where she was responsible for driving the financial models and infrastructure to support Infoseek's rapid revenue growth from $35 million to $137 million per year. She also played a critical role in Infoseek's $900 million acquisition and integration of Starwave Corporation in 1998, and was integral in managing Infoseek's $2 billion acquisition by the Walt Disney Company in 2000.
